Services

An eclectic selection of services – As a therapist, I function as an alchemist, creating the exact right formula  to support clients in their healing trajectory.

When it comes to therapy, there is no one-size-fits-all. Just like physicians prescribe different treatments to different people, I offer a variety of services that address your specific needs as an individual.

Below you’ll find some more information about the different therapies I’ve used to successfully treat my clients over the years.

Mind-body holistic therapy

Trauma takes place on multiple levels, as the person experiencing the painful event does so by thinking about it, feeling it emotionally, and feeling it physically. I’ve developed a 3-level Self Discovery Process that helps you examine your thoughts, body sensations and emotional feelings in order to process negative experiences fully and effectively for lasting healing.

Individual therapy

One-on-one psychotherapy helps you build the confidence, self-awareness and insight you need to face challenges and move forward with your life. And because I am trained in client-centered therapy, it allows you to do so in a safe and nurturing environment with a therapist who listens to you empathically and non-judgmentally.

Family therapy

Families are complicated systems, with each person playing a specific role interdependently with the other members. Conflict in any area of family life can mean suffering for everyone and is usually symptomatic of an imbalance within the system. Learn the skills you need to restore balance, strengthen your family and make everyone happier. Research shows that therapy is more effective when the entire family is involved.

Couples therapy

Are you and your partner having trouble getting through to each other? Couples are systems too, just like families. If it seems like you’re talking different languages, couples therapy can be a great place to get “unstuck.” I counsel couples regularly and teach them new and functional tools that help them communicate better and reinvigorate and strengthen their relationship.

Group therapy

Group therapy is a powerful healing tool. Growing alongside people at different stages of the treatment process gives hope to those who are just beginning. Interacting with others that are experiencing similar challenges helps people see the normalcy of their own feelings and that they are not alone. Group therapy also allows you to interact with and get feedback from others, including experimenting with new behaviors in a safe and non-judgmental setting.

Symptom relief

Not much good can take place in therapy when you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety and depression. While symptom relief isn’t the total picture of psychological, physical and emotional health, it is a good place to start, especially if you are feeling stuck and it’s keeping therapy from otherwise progressing.

Referral services

If you need to connect with a qualified psychiatrist or other physician or medical professional, I can guide you in the right direction. I’ll help you with referrals for psychological testing, 12-step programs, or anything else you might need.

As you can see, I’ve developed quite a toolbox over the years. When it comes to treating my clients, a comprehensive and holistic approach is key-in fact nothing less would suffice.
